About Our Next Video Editing Intern

You will join the Marketing department with a mission to tell these stories in a way that gives God glory and motivates His people to praise Him and join the mission. We take this mission seriously, and we aspire to become the premier communicator of stories of life change and transformation in American youth ministry. We are looking for creative individuals who want to make an eternal impact through producing quality videos. 

Key Functions

  • Assemble, edit, and finish effective, high-quality videos that will propel the ministry forward
  • Manage and organize media data on our server and various portable drives
  • Find and collect great stock videos, photos, and music
  • Present video drafts to supervisors and stakeholders and be willing to do every point of feedback
  • Publish videos on our platforms, such as YouTube and Vimeo
  • Renew older videos for reuse
  • Consult with supervisors and stakeholders throughout the production process to ensure product success
  • Continuously discover and Implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
  • SLC 

  • Mission Trip

    • Are required to go on a mission trip to another Decision Point area of ministry. Date and location determined by supervisor.

Managing supervisor, Video Director. Collaborate within the Marketing team. 
 

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Currently studying film/video production or related field preferred
  • Software: At least 2 years of experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Hardware: Comfortable shooting with the Canon EOS series or equivalent. Knows how to set up and handle lights and heavy equipment.
  • Demonstrable video editing skills with a strong portfolio
  • Expertise in timing, motivation and visual continuity
  • Highly organized in project/data management and willing to stick to our filing system
  • Confidence in doing color correction and audio cleanup
  • Familiarity with basic titling, motion graphics, and other video effects
  • Understanding different video codecs and other parameters for exporting video
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Driver's license / has access to a car and can drive to our office or other locations,if needed
  • Willingness to help out on a film shoot and fill any role on the crew if needed
  • Able to safely and comfortably lift 30+ lbs of sensitive film equipment

Fundraising and Pay-Scale

This role is a part-time, hourly paid position.

At Decision Point, our ministry is funded by God’s people stewarding their finances to support God’s work. Every level of our team participates in support raising to the appropriate degree, including Decision Point Interns. As a campus ministry intern, you will form a personal support team who you will ask to support you through prayers and finances. You will also maintain that relationship by sending out newsletters and tracking donations through your own support tracker.

Hours and Required Dates

Participation in the following events is required:

  • Fundraising Sprint 1: May 18 – June 12, 2026
    • May 18, 2026: Full day launch training 
    • Twice-weekly sprint meetings 
    • 40 hours of work and full participation in fundraising during Sprint 1 is required.
    • Sprint 2 will be required for those who need additional fundraising time.
      • Sprint 2- July 6 - July 31
  • Student Leader Conference - June 2026
    • June 16-21 | CM Intern Days near Colorado Christian University
    • June 22-27 | Student Leader Conference @ Colorado Christian University
  • Fall & Spring Semesters
    • 10 and 15 hours/week options available, though some weeks may be more due to special events, will include multiple Saturdays/weekend meetings. 
    • Christmas Break is off
  • Spring 2027 - Mission Trip to another Decision Point Ministry Area 
    • Trip costs are accounted for in your personal MPD goal. Your trip involvement will be determined later in the year based on our trip options and where people in your area end up going.
  • Other Events - Varies by Area
